Allergic Rhinitis is a disease caused due to many allergens such as dust, dust mites, pollen and tiny particles that cause inflammation of the nasal membranes which in turn bring forth the following complications such as sneezing and getting a runny nose.
You sneeze and sneeze and probably give off all your energy and you feel fatigued, you blow your nose on those countless numbers of tissues and the sneezing never seems to go away. You literally can't sleep cause of the continuous sneezing. This is total hell on Earth! I am sure most of you reading this can relate.
So is there any cure? Well Allergic Rhinitis is not curable but it can be prevented, the symptoms can be relieved. Here are a few ailments to ease you of the symptoms and probably preventing future episodes of torture.
If you want to be relieved try these :
Antihistamines
Histamines are released by the body to defend itself from the allergens. So antihistamines stop that process and prevent you from having the symptoms. Most antihistamines are over the counter drugs meaning you don't need a prescription. Some popular antihistamines are Cetirizine, fexofenadine and diphenhydramine.
Decongestants
Decongestants are used to relieve a stuffy nose. Use these with the advise of your doctor.
Corticosteroids
Corticosteroids are the most effective treatment. They are safe to be used by Adults and children. They too can be purchased without a prescription.
Try these methods for preventive measures :
1. Vacuum your household and always keep it free from dust.
2. Stay in an air conditioned room.
3. Filter the air you breathe
4. Get a dehumidifier
5. Stay away from open windows to prevent exposure to pollen
